Day 1: Marrakech to the Dades Valley

Over the High Atlas via the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260 m), past Ait Ben Haddou, to the Dades Valley. About 5–6 hours of driving, with stops on the way. The night is in a hotel in the valley.

Day 2: Todra Gorge and Merzouga

Through the Todra Gorge to Merzouga, then a camel ride at sunset into the dunes of Erg Chebbi. The night is in a desert camp: dinner by the fire, music, and the stars over the sand.

Day 3: sunrise and the road back

Sunrise over the dunes, breakfast in the camp, and the drive back to Marrakech through the Draa Valley and Ouarzazate. You are back in Marrakech in the evening.

Three days is the minimum that works well from Marrakech: the drive is split over two days and the desert day is unhurried. The 2-day tour reaches Merzouga too, but both driving days are long — about 9 hours each.
