The camps sit among the dunes of Erg Chebbi, a short camel ride from Merzouga. You sleep in a fixed tent with a real bed and blankets. The standard camp has toilets in the camp; the luxury camp has its own bathroom in the tent area and a private dinner.
The camel ride leaves in the late afternoon and reaches the camp at sunset. Dinner is served by the fire, with music from the camp team. The sky over Erg Chebbi is one of the clearest in Morocco.
Nights in the desert are cold — near freezing in winter — and quiet. In the morning, climb a dune for the sunrise, have breakfast in the camp, and ride back to Merzouga.
