The 2-days tour to Morocco's Sahara desert begins with an early pickup from the airport or your Fes lodging. We then go south through Imouzzer to Ifrane, which is well-known for its snow, cold temperatures, and alpine-style homes. It's no wonder that it's known as the Switzerland of Morocco... The Barbary Macaques' home is the cedar forest, which we then proceed to. While strolling through the forest, feel free to feed them. We proceed to Midelt thereafter, where lunch will be provided. Next, we travel via the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and the Ziz river as we make our way to the Sahara desert.
We arrive at Merzouga in the Sahara desert in the afternoon. Then traverse the sandy desert on camels. Following that, you will be taken to a high dune to witness the breathtaking sunset. Next, proceed to the camp in the desert. Under a wide-open sky full of stars, you can dance around the campfire and listen to the music of the Berber drums. Dinner and spending the night in the camp
Day 2 : Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Ziz valley – Ifrane – Fes
To enjoy the stunning sunrise in the middle of the desert, get up early. After some free time for breakfast, you ride camels back to Merzouga, where your driver is waiting for you. After that, we go from the desert to go to the historic capital of Tafilalet, Rissani town. With a sizable souk that comes alive on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, Rissani remains a significant trading hub in the area. We visit one of the fossilized marble workshops in Erfoud after taking a walk through Rissani Souk.
We then continue driving along the Ziz River, pausing for a broad perspective of the Ziz Valley. After that, we travel by car through Ifrane and the cedar forest to get to Fes. Lastly, we leave you off at your lodging or the airport. Tour conclusion
