Desert tour 4 Days From Fes to Merzouga Itinerary

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Cedars forest- Midelt – Ziz valley – Errachidia – Dades gorges


The 4-day Sahara desert tour from Fes begins with an early pick-up from the airport or your hotel in Fes. Then we drive south through Imouzzer to Ifrane, which is famous for its cold temperatures, snow, and alpine-style residences. It's no surprise that it's known as Morocco's Switzerland. Then we head to the cedar forest, where the Barbary Macaques live. Feel free to feed them while strolling through the forest. Later, we will travel to Midelt, where lunch will be provided. Then we proceed to Errachidia, driving across the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and down the Ziz river. Once we get to Errachidia. We travel to Dades gorges via Boumalne Dades, stopping at the "monkey fingers" rock feature. And on top of a mountain, overlooking the Dades Valley. Dinner and stay at a motel.

Day 2 : Dades gorges – Todra Gorges -Erfoud -Merzouga Sahara – overnight in a luxury camp :


After breakfast, we travel to Todra Gorges, where the Todra River has cut out a spectacular canyon through the mountains, resulting in a high red cliff-sided gorge. Feel free to roam through the gorges and enjoy the scenery. Then we make our way through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad. There will be time for lunch along the route.

at the afternoon, we arrive at the Sahara desert of Merzouga. You switch to camels to cross the sandy desert. A pause will be made for you to admire the spectacular sunset from the top of a high dune. Then go to the desert luxury camp, where you may listen to Berber drum music while dancing around the campfire beneath the huge open sky of stars. Dinner and overnight in the camp


Day 3: Explore Merzouga region – Nomads – Khamlia – Merzouga lake – Erg Chebbi – palm grove :


Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the lovely sunrise in the middle of the desert. Free time for breakfast. Then you ride camels back to Merzouga, where the driver awaits. We dedicate the day to exploring the Merzouga region. The area contains numerous magnificent sights, including sand dunes, wild lakes, mines, fossil locations, and fabulous oasis. Which are perfect locations for a variety of outdoor activities.

First, we begin our excursion in Merzouga by driving off-road to an ancient eyeliner mine. Then we pay the nomads a visit in their hand-woven tent. Drink Berber tea and learn about their way of life. Our next stop is Khamlia village, where you may enjoy Gnaoua music and dance performances. Its residents are from sub-Saharan African nations such as Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Free time for lunch at a restaurant. Following that, we take a stroll through a palm tree grove. Then drive a few kilometers to visit the wild lake of Merzouga, commonly known as Flamingo Lake. Dinner and overnight At a hotel.


Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Ziz valley – Errachidia – Ifrane – Fes :


After breakfast, we leave the desert to reach Rissani, Tafilalet's old capital. Rissani remains an important trading center in the region, with a thriving souk on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. After a tour around Rissani souk, we continue to Erfoud and visit one of the fossilized marble workshops.

Following that, we travel down the Ziz River, stopping for a panoramic vista of the Ziz Valley. Then we drive through the cedar forest and Ifrane to get to Fes. Finally, we will drop you off at the airport or your lodging. End of the 4 days Morocco trip
