Day 1: Fes – Ifrane –Azro – Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga (Sahara Desert)
Start your day early in Fes and head south towards Ifrane, a beautiful small town in the Middle Atlas Mountains known for its European-style architecture and clean streets. Take a stroll through the town and visit the Lion statue, a popular attraction in the area.
From Ifrane, continue your journey towards the famous Cedar forest, where you can see Barbary Macaque monkeys and enjoy a scenic walk through the woods.
After the Cedar forest, make your way to Midelt, a small town famous for its apple orchards and mineral fossils. Take a break and enjoy a delicious lunch before heading towards the Ziz Valley.
The Ziz Valley is a stunning valley with palm groves, small villages, and breathtaking landscapes. Stop for some photo opportunities and enjoy the natural beauty of the area.

Day 2: Explore Merzouga Desert– Nomads – Khamlia – Erg Chebbi – palm grove
Wake up early and catch the sunrise over the dunes of the Erg Chebbi desert. Enjoy a cup of tea and a traditional breakfast before starting your day of exploration.
Visit some of the nearby nomadic villages and learn about their way of life. You can even take a camel ride through the dunes to get a real desert experience.
Next, visit the village of Khamlia, where you can learn about the Gnawa music tradition and enjoy a live performance from local musicians.
After Khamlia, head to Merzouga lake, a seasonal lake that attracts a variety of bird species. Take a walk around the lake and enjoy the tranquility of the area.
In the afternoon, drive to the Erg Chebbi dunes, where you can enjoy a camel ride or take a walk through the dunes. You can also try sandboarding or simply relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
End your day by visiting the nearby palm grove, where you can enjoy a walk through the oasis and see how the locals grow crops in the desert.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Ziz valley – Ifrane – Fes
After breakfast, say goodbye to Merzouga and start your journey back toward Fes. On the way, stop at the town of Rissani, known for its traditional souks and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif, the founder of the Alaouite dynasty.
Next, visit Erfoud, a small town famous for its fossil industry. Take a tour of a fossil factory and see how the locals extract and process the fossils found in the area.
Continue your journey through the Ziz valley, taking in the beautiful landscapes and stopping for photo opportunities along the way.
