Itinerary of the desert tour 8 days from Casablanca

Day 1: Arrival to Casablanca :


The excursion begins with a pick-up from the airport, port, or your Casablanca accommodation. The city is recognized as Morocco's economic center and largest metropolis. First, we will visit the Hassan II Mosque, Morocco's largest mosque. It is located on the city's west coast, on a peninsula overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Free time for lunch. Then we explore the city and go to the magnificent Cornish of Casablanca. Stay overnight in a hotel.

Day 2 : Casablanca – Rabat the capital – Chefchaouen:


After breakfast, we drive along the coast to Rabat, one of Morocco's imperial cities and the current capital. Then you will see the city's landmarks, such as the Hassan Tower, Mohammed V's Mausoleum, and the Kasbah of Oudaya. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon, we go north through Ouazzane to the Blue City of Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains. The city is notable for its white-blue-painted houses and lanes. Stay overnight in a hotel.


Day 3: Chefchaouen- the Roman ruins of Volubilis – Meknes – Fes:


After breakfast, feel free to explore the magnificent lanes of the blue city Chefchaouen. Then we go to the old Roman ruins of Volubilis. It is well protected because UNESCO designated it a World Heritage Site. There are several exquisite mosaics strewn throughout, as well as old pillars and archways. After exploring the ruins, we drive 30 kilometers to the city of Meknes. The city is renowned as the Ismaili capital and is one of Morocco's imperial cities. We will visit Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani Basin, the Royal Stable, the Granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Then we travel to Fes. Overnight stay at a Riad.


Day 4: guided tour sightseeing Fes:


After breakfast, we will see the city's highlights with a local guide. Fes is regarded one of Morocco's imperial cities, as well as its cultural and religious hub.

After a delicious breakfast, we drive south through Imouzzer to Ifrane. The city is famous for its low temperatures, snow, and alpine-style architecture houses--it's no surprise that it's known as Morocco's Switzerland. Then we head to the cedar forest, where the Barbary macaques live. Feel free to feed them while strolling through the forest. Later, we will continue to Midelt, where we will have some free time for lunch. Then we drive to Merzouga via the Tizi-n-Tilghmt Pass and the Ziz Valley. Stops will be made along the trip to enjoy panoramic vistas.

at the afternoon, we arrive at the Sahara desert of Merzouga. Then you swap to camels to cross the dusty desert. You will halt on top of a high dune to watch the sunset. Finally, you head to the desert camp. The camp combines nomad tents with hotel-like amenities. Where you can enjoy Berber drum music while dancing around a campfire under a big open sky of stars. Dinner and stay at the campsite.


Day 6: Merzouga Sahara – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley :


Get up early in the morning to admire the stunning sunrise. In the center of the desert. After breakfast, you will return to Merzouga on camels, where the driver will be waiting for you. We leave the desert to visit Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani remains an important trading center in the region, with a thriving souk on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

After a tour around Rissani Souk, we continue to Erfoud to visit one of the fossilized marble workshops. We next drive via Touroug and Tinjdad palm fields to reach the Todra Gorges. The course of the Todra River has cut out a magnificent canyon through the mountains, resulting in a steep red cliff-sided canyon. These gorges are perfect for rock climbing. Feel free to roam through the gorges and enjoy the scenery. Free time for lunch at a restaurant. Then we continue to the Dades valley, passing through Boumalne Dades. The inevitable halt at the "monkey fingers" rock formation. And on top of a mountain, overlooking the Dades valley. Finally, food and a night in a hotel.


Day 7: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech :


After breakfast, we continue our journey to Kalaa Magouna to see the Rose Valley. The Rose Festival takes place in May. Locals sell a variety of rose items, including perfumes, rose water, oil, and cosmetics. We then drive through the palm orchards of Skoura. Later, we arrive at Ouarzazate, also known as the Desert Gate. We will go to the studios where great movies were shot.

We leave to visit the famed Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. A fortified settlement designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The Kasbah has appeared in various movies, such as Gladiator, Alexander, and The Mummy. And TV shows like Game of Thrones. Then we head to Marrakech. Driving via the Tizi-N-Tichka Pass and the beautiful High Atlas Mountains. Stops will be made for lunch and to take photographs at noteworthy locations. Finally, we arrive in Marrakech and spend the night at a riad.


Day 8: Marrakech – Casablanca


On the final day, we will drive north to Casablanca airport, making stops for panoramic vistas. Then you will be transferred to the airport. The end of the 8-day Morocco journey.
