Day 1: Arrival to Tangier – Chefchaouen

Your adventure in Northern Morocco begins with your arrival in the vibrant city of Tangier. From here, your guide will take you on a scenic drive to the enchanting town of Chefchaouen, nestled in the foothills of the Rif Mountains. As you make your way through the picturesque countryside, be sure to keep an eye out for the stunning views of the countryside and the rolling hills that stretch out before you. Once you arrive in Chefchaouen, you’ll be greeted by the town’s famous blue-washed buildings, winding alleys, and bustling markets. Day 2: Sightseeing Chefchaouen “the blue city”

 

Today is all about discovering the hidden gems of Chefchaouen, also known as the “Blue City”. You’ll stroll through the winding streets of the medina, admiring the painted blue buildings and meeting locals as you go. Be sure to bring your camera to capture the beautiful views of the city and its surroundings. Your guide will take you to the picturesque main square of Plaza Uta el-Hammam, where you can enjoy a traditional Moroccan mint tea in one of the many cafes. Visit the famous Kasbah, where you’ll learn about the town’s rich history and culture, and see the Grand Mosque, one of the most important religious sites in Chefchaouen.

Day 3: Chefchaouen – the Roman ruins of Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

After breakfast, you’ll leave Chefchaouen behind and head toward the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, one of the most impressive archeological sites in Morocco. Explore the well-preserved ruins, marveling at the intricate mosaics and grand structures that have survived for centuries. From here, your journey continues to the imperial city of Meknes, where you’ll see some of Morocco’s finest examples of Islamic architecture, including the Bab Mansour Gate and the towering minaret of the Grand Mosque. Finally, arrive in the magical city of Fes, where you’ll spend the night.

Day 4: Guided tour sightseeing Fes

Today is devoted to exploring Fes, one of the oldest and most fascinating cities in the world. The city’s ancient medina is a labyrinthine maze of narrow streets and alleyways that lead to bustling souks, artisan workshops, and stunning religious sites. Your guide will take you to the heart of the medina to see the incredible architecture of the Bou Inania Madrasa, one of the finest examples of Marinid architecture in the world. You’ll also visit the University of Al Quaraouiyine, founded in the 9th century and considered the oldest continuously operating university in the world. Along the way, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to sample local delicacies and shop for souvenirs.

Day 5: Fes – Rabat – Casablanca

On your final day in Northern Morocco, you’ll depart Fes and head to the vibrant capital city of Rabat. Here, you’ll explore the city’s historic medina, with its maze of alleys and colorful markets. You’ll also visit the impressive Hassan Tower, one of the country’s most iconic landmarks. From Rabat, you’ll travel along the coast to Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and home to some of its most impressive modern architecture. You’ll visit the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world and a true masterpiece of Islamic architecture. As your tour comes to an end, you’ll reflect on the rich history, stunning landscapes, and vibrant culture that make Northern Morocco such unique After visiting the Royal Palace, we’ll explore the Kasbah of the Oudayas, a fortified castle overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, that offers stunning views of the sea and the surrounding area. Then we’ll head to the Hassan Tower, a mosque that was started in the 12th century but was never completed, however, its minaret remains one of the tallest in the world. Finally, we’ll visit the Mohammed V Mausoleum, the resting place of the late king and his two sons, where you can witness the grandeur of Moroccan architecture.

Our last stop will be in Casablanca, the largest city in Morocco, where we’ll visit the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world, with a towering minaret that stands 689 feet tall.
