The 10-day Morocco tour begins with a pick-up from the airport or your lodging in Fes. Then we spend the day exploring Fes' highlights with a local guide. In addition to being Morocco's cultural and religious center, the city is regarded as one of its imperial cities.
We begin the day by visiting the Royal Palace Gate. Then there's the well-preserved medieval Medina, which has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will visit the Blue Gate, also known as Bab Boujloud, which is the entrance to the old Medina. You'll enter the Medina to see the Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine Fountain, and the Tanneries. Finally, there is the Quaraouin Mosque and University, the world's oldest university. Following that, we leave the Medina to explore the Jewish district, commonly known as "the Mellah". In the afternoon, we drive to a historic fortification with a panoramic view of the Medina and Fes. Finally, return to your riad.
After a delicious breakfast, we drive south through Imouzzer to Ifrane. The city is famous for its low temperatures, snow, and alpine-style architecture houses--it's no surprise that it's known as Morocco's Switzerland. Then we head to the cedar forest, where the Barbary macaques live. Feel free to feed them while strolling through the forest. Later, we will continue to Midelt, where we will have some free time for lunch. Then we drive to Merzouga via the Tizi-n-Tilghmt Pass and the Ziz Valley. Stops will be made along the trip to enjoy panoramic vistas.

Finally, you head to the desert camp. The camp combines nomad tents with hotel-like amenities. Where you can enjoy Berber drum music while dancing around a campfire under a big open sky of stars. Dinner and stay at the campsite.
Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the lovely sunrise in the middle of the desert. Free time for breakfast. Then you ride camels back to Merzouga, where the driver awaits. We dedicate the day to exploring the Merzouga region. The area contains numerous magnificent sights, including sand dunes, wild lakes, mines, fossil locations, and fabulous oasis. Which are perfect locations for a variety of outdoor sports.
First, we begin our excursion in Merzouga by driving off-road to an ancient eyeliner mine. Then we pay the nomads a visit in their hand-woven tent. Drink Berber tea and learn about their way of life. Our next stop is Khamlia village, where you may enjoy Gnaoua music and dance performances. Its residents are from sub-Saharan African nations such as Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Free time for lunch at a restaurant. Following that, we take a stroll through a palm tree grove. Then drive a few kilometers to visit the wild lake of Merzouga, commonly known as Flamingo Lake. After breakfast, we leave the desert to reach Rissani, Tafilalet's old capital. Rissani remains an important trading center in the region, with a thriving souk on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
After a tour around Rissani Souk, we continue to Erfoud to visit one of the fossilized marble workshops. We next drive via Touroug and Tinjdad palm fields to reach the Todra Gorges. The course of the Todra River has cut out a magnificent canyon through the mountains, resulting in a steep red cliff-sided canyon. These gorges are perfect for rock climbing. Feel free to roam through the gorges and enjoy the scenery. Free time for lunch at a restaurant. Then we continue to the Dades valley, passing through Boumalne Dades. The inevitable halt at the "monkey fingers" rock formation. And on top of a mountain, overlooking the Dades valley. Finally, food and a night in a hotel.
