Itinerary of the 2 days tour from Fes to Marrakech

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Cedars forest- Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga Sahara


The 2 days desert excursion to Marrakech begins with an early pickup from the airport or your Fes lodging. Then we drive south through Imouzzer to Ifrane, which is famous for its low temperatures, snow, and alpine-style houses--it's no surprise that it's known as Morocco's Switzerland. Then we go to the cedar forest, where Barbary Macaques live. Feel free to feed them while exploring the forest. Later, we'll head to Midelt for lunch. Then we drive to the Sahara desert, passing through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the Ziz river.

at the afternoon, we arrive at the Sahara desert of Merzouga. You switch to camels to cross the sandy desert. A pause will be made for you to admire the spectacular sunset from the top of a high dune. Then proceed to the desert campsite. Where you can listen to Berber drum music while dancing around a campfire under the huge open sky of stars. Dinner and stay at the camp.

Day 2: Merzouga Sahara Desert – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech


An early start is required to enjoy the stunning dawn in the middle of the desert. Free time for breakfast before returning to Merzouga by camel, where the driver awaits. Then we leave the desert and head west through Touroug and Tinjdad palm fields to reach the Todra Gorges. The course of the Todra River has cut out a magnificent canyon through the mountains, resulting in a steep red cliff-sided canyon. Then we drive via numerous Kasbahs and palm tree orchards to Ouarzazate, where we will have free time for lunch.

Then we drive to Marrakesh past the famed Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified hamlet designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The Kasbah has appeared in movies like as Gladiator, Alexander, and The Mummy, as well as TV series like Game of Thrones. Finally, we travel via the Tizi-N-Tichka pass and the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech. Then we will drive you to the airport or your hotel. End of the tour
