The 4 day desert tour from Fes to Marrakech begins with an early pickup from the airport or your Fes lodging. After that, we travel south through Imouzzer to Ifrane, which is well-known for its snow, cold temperatures, and alpine-style homes—no surprise it's known as the Switzerland of Morocco. After that, we proceed to the cedar forest, which is home to Barbary Macaques. Feel free to stroll through the forest and feed them. We next proceed to Midelt, where lunch will be provided. After that, we drive via the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the Ziz river as we make our way to the Sahara desert.
We arrive in the afternoon to Merzouga, a Sahara desert where you may cross the sandy terrain on camels. You will have the opportunity to pause and take in the breathtaking sunset atop a tall dune. After that, proceed to the opulent desert camp, where you can dance around the campfire while listening to the music of the Berber drums beneath the wide-open sky. In order to enjoy the breathtaking sunrise in the middle of the desert, it is imperative that you get up early. Have some free time for breakfast. The driver is waiting for you when you return to Merzouga on camels. We spend the day exploring the Merzouga region. Sand dunes, a wild lake, mines, fossil locations, and amazing oases are just a few of the region's amazing sights. which are perfect locations for a variety of outdoor pursuits.
First, we go off-road to an old eyeliner mine in Merzouga to begin our adventure. Next, we visit the nomads in their tent, which is woven by hand. Drink some Berber tea and learn about their way of life. You may take in the Gnaoua music and dance performances at the Khamlia village, our next stop.
